Composition Techniques

In this blog post, there will be examples of different types of composition techniques.
I used five different ones such as: Rule of Thirds, Framing, Angle, Cropping and Contrast.

Rule of Thirds

This photo is using the basic composition technique of "Rule of Thirds".
We can tell that it is using the rule of thirds because we used the lamp as the
center of focus and the lamp is in the photo using the 3:2 ratio.

Framing

In this photo I used the composition of framing. We can see that framing
is being used because the headboard of the bed, the night stand that the
lamp is on and the corner of the wall frame the lamp.

Angle

In order to gain a new perspective of the lamp and the scenery with it; I
decided to take the photo from a birds eye view. By looking at this
angle, the audience gets a different view point and can interpret
the photo in a different way.

Cropping

Although this isn't the best picture that helps with cropping, it is  an example of it.
It is an example of it because the distraction of having a big blank wall and
the door stopper is cropped out. Now the main focus is the lamp itself.

Contrast

This photo displays contrast because while looking at the photo, the
lamp stands out. The lamp stands out because it is so blue and every-
thing around it is a neutral color.
